This Bowling Alley Is Too Good For Me! | bowling tip

bowling tipWell maybe it’s me, but this bowling tip has been bothering me for a while now. Have you ever walked into one of these new upscale bowling centers? Theses bowling centers are so nice, that I feel I should go out and buy better bowling gear, just to bowl there? With the big screen TVs, sofas, carpeting, fancy lighting, and bars, I have to pinch myself, to believe I’m in a bowling alley, I mean a bowling center?

But my bowling tip question is, does your Game improve or is it distracted by the decor? It’s like if you dress up to go bowling, does your Game suffer? When you bowl are you relaxed, or are you afraid of damaging the decor? And what’s up with the lights, can you bowl like that? Maybe I’m missing the point? This is not about bowling, it is about entertainment? Raking in to the cash for a higher level bowling experience? Is that possible? Boy, if I was sitting on one of these sofas with a beer, you couldn’t get me up to bowl. I would stay seated and guard the sofa and beer. But if I did bowl, my body would be so relaxed, the ball could end up going anywhere. Because, your so relaxed that you forget why you are there? And maybe, this is the whole point. The experience of the surroundings is the entertainment, not the bowling. The bowling is an excuse to be there. So you can watch a big screen TV while bowling, and not just sitting at a bar or at home on your sofa.

Let’s face it, most of the time these bowling centers cater to the recreational bowler, and social bowler. This maybe a new term coined here in the bowling vernacular. This bowling tip term as I see it, is a step beyond a recreational bowler and more like a bowling party bowler or casual bowler. The social bowler is there for the party, and may only bowl a few times a year, for fun of course. What bowling skills they lack, as compared to the recreational bowler, is made up with childlike enthusiasm for the Game. But don’t get me wrong, a bowler is a bowler. Bring them all into the game of bowling, for a variety of entertainment value. Hey, as long as the people enjoy the Game, who am I to say how they should play the Game?

Playing The Lanes? | bowling tip

Thursday, September 2, 2010 @ 01:09 AM

bowling tipI heard of playing the lanes, but this bowling tip is carrying it to extreme. So, what do the bowlers do? Stand and hold lighters? Dance? Bowl? Sit and order dinner? Am I missing something?

Well if the bowlers bowl, as one possible bowling tip scenario. Do they bowl around the musicians, or next to them? We know you can’t bowl through them, right? But if everyone bowls, can you hear the music? Would the bowling noise distract the musicians? Would anyone know, if it did? Or if it did, would it distract a bowler? Can you bowl, if you don’t like that song? Or can you make requests, and then bowl when they play your song?

Maybe the bowling tip scenario is, the bowlers only listen to the band? But how does the house make any money, charge admission, or a cover charge? Would there be any bowlers then? Maybe only concert type audience? But in a bowling alley? Or is it a mix of bowling and dancing? Can you dance and bowl? Don’t you get dizzy?

I believe this is the best bowling tip scenario. It’s a dinner. You pay for a show and a dinner, plus you can bowl afterwards? Then the house gets in on all sides. What a country?

A Smaller Bowling Alley For Your Home. | bowling equipment

Wednesday, September 1, 2010 @ 01:09 AM

bowling equipmentFor people with less room to bowl at home, this bowling equipment maybe the solution? As you can see the lanes are shorter, and more compact. So, a recreation room, garage, basement, or office can be sufficient. Sure you are in your home office, you get stressed, then bowl a few to relax, and go back to work. It could happen?

This bowling equipment would work with the guys night out, instead of poker or just sitting around watching baseball or football. Hey, start a at home bowling league in the neighborhood. Or, let the ladies bowl during the day or on an alternate night. Of course as in my previous post, Your Bowling Alley at Home.|bowling equipment. You can save money by bowling at home and charging your friends to bowl.

But my main concern with this bowling equipment is, how does the machine know if you are using a tremendous hook on the back end or a straight ball? How does it know the arch of your curve, and of course the break? I bet you can program the oil pattern too? I wonder if it knows, if you are using a plastic ball or a reactive? I can see the ball return wouldn’t be a problem. I also wonder how you dress the lanes and approach? I bet my ball speed would increase with the shorter lanes, or maybe it adjusts for that too?

Anyway, this would be an alternative to full size bowling lanes in your home. Although I don’t know the price, it should be cheaper too. But we are talking about more electronics, I believe? Which could be temperamental in a damper basement, or even garage environment. So with all these questions, you would probably be the only one on your block or in town with one? So then you would be the Man! But, I would still check it out first! Cause you want to be the Man, and a smart one at that!

bowling tipThis bowling tip is for anyone who is looking for a deal. Tony’s Pizza has free bowling coupons on specially marked boxes of pizza. What a cheap way to take out the family or friends for a game of bowling. Also check out Jolly Time Popcorn for free bowling coupon offers, too.

bowling tipSo the bowling tip is, keep your sees open for these two companies, because they frequently support bowling. A good place to check out for free coupons, and other offers is www.GoBowling.Com. You can even find the bowling alley near you, so you can cash in on the free game of bowling. They also have funny commercial spots you can watch too.  “Now for something completely different”, as in Monty Python comedy, this can be a very cheap way to go out? It would also be a good idea as a family get together, as well as, showing off your old bowling skills. You can probably give the kids a few pointers along the way, too.

bowling tipSo this bowling tip is about getting the family or friends out, and enjoying a game of bowling again. Maybe it’s been too long, since the last time you visited the bowling alley. Well here’s your chance, along with a deal. So then brush off your old bowling ball and shoes, if you can find them, and enjoy a game on the house.

Why Use Fancy Bowling Pins-bowling tip.

Friday, August 27, 2010 @ 01:08 AM

bowling tipEverything is changing, so why not bowling with this bowling tip. Sure the old Game has the white pins, or some different color pins for fun tournaments. But lets go a little further, and check out the advantages of this bowling tip.

1. Highly polished bowling pins are harder to knock down, because the bowling ball slides off  of them.
2. Very colorful, which adds beauty to the old Game.
3. Imagine the black light affects?
4. They are so glossy, you can see yourself bowling.
5. At least they don’t blend in?
6. Remember, don’t look at the pins, don’t look at the pins, don’t look at the pins?
7. You can see the colorful pins reflected on the bowling lanes.
bowling tip8. Less wear on the bowling pins, because of the high gloss clear coat wax finish.
9. Now bowling outfits can match the bowling pins too.
10. Bowling machines may have a hard time picking up the slippery high gloss pins.
11. Makes spare shots easier, you can’t miss the pins?
12. Makes you wonder what else can be brighten up, the bowling lanes, gutters, approach, or may be the ball return to match the pins.

Sure there will be some skeptics to this bowling tip, but so there were for electricity, the Hula Hoop, the Pet Rock, Smile Button, Atari, automobiles, telephones, wireless service, computers, and even the internet? All innovations must start somewhere? Now, how can we change the bowling ball? May be lasers?

Antarctica Bowling Tips.

Thursday, August 26, 2010 @ 01:08 AM

bowling tipsSure everyone wants to go bowling in Antarctica, but first some bowling tips.

1. It can get cold, so don’t leave your bowling ball outside.
2. If a wild animal, larger than you, wants to bowl through, let them.
3. So we only have 2 warped Brunswick lanes with a manual reset. Refused automated replacement lanes by Brunswick, because we can repair these.
4. We specialize in Bumbling Bowlers, it’s a team sport.
1st frame-kicking a soccer ball, this can hurt.
2nd frame-use your opposite hand.
3rd frame-use the push broom, this takes skill.
4th frame-hopping on one foot (opposed to two).
5th frame-use 2 balls at once.
6th frame-spin around 10 times then bowl, a little tricky?
7th frame-use the fur backed mittens, hang on.
8th frame-a reverse granny shot.
9th frame-hopping on one foot again, can alternate?
10th frame-shoot from the carpet, adding about 10 feet to the approach.

bowling tips5. If your thumb swells up, stick it outside and it will shrink!
6. If you get sweated, you can also stick your head outside, for a very short time.
7. Don’t forget to remove your bowling shoes, if you go out for a smoke.
8. Very important to warm up before bowling.
9. Get to the Game early to select your bowling ball, limited number available.
10. Don’t forget to erase the scores off the black board after each Game.

Some of these bowling tips were given by http://www.intrepidexplorer.net/september.htm. Thanks for the interesting variations to the Game of Bowling. These bowling tips show, what can be done with a couple of bowling lanes in the middle of nowhere. Oh yea, and a little imagination! Try to beat that, soccer?

Buying A Custom Bowling Ball?

Wednesday, August 25, 2010 @ 01:08 AM
299

Custom Bowling BallBuying a custom bowling ball is more complicated, than buying the old time hard rubber bowling ball. Today’s custom bowling balls have to fit your game and bowling style.

One of the best ways to select a custom bowling ball is to watch another bowler using the bowling ball. It is even better, if the bowler has a similar rev rate and ball speed. The reason is, higher rev rate  and ball speed will have a different ball reaction, than a lower rev rate and ball speed. For example, many times a bowling ball you may have trouble with, an other bowler will have success with.  Also, ask the bowler how the finger pattern is set up, so to get a similar reaction out of the bowling ball.

The second way is to use the custom bowling ball. May be your friend, Pro-Shop, or Demo Days Exposition will give you a chance to use the bowling ball? Even if the fingers don’t fit just right, you will see the bowling ball’s reaction to your bowling style. Once you see the ball’s reaction, you can decide if it is right for you, or if you can drill it to fit your needs.

Drilling, is what makes a bowling ball into a custom bowling ball. New bowling balls have 3 or more finger hole patterns to choose from. This ranges from going long, more or less hook, and even very aggressive bowling ball reactions.  The person drilling your bowling ball is very important, in advising you on which finger pattern is best suited for you. Also, have a need to fill in your bowling ball arsenal, and in what situation the bowling ball will be used for. For example, oily or dry lanes, more or less hook, and which line you may want to play. By analyzing your needs, the person drilling the bowling ball can make the custom bowling ball you want.

Fourth custom bowling ball point is, check out the videos on the bowling ball, and read the stats, then analyze, if you can throw the same revs, speed, and line to control the bowling ball. Some bowling balls are a handful, and if you’re not bowler enough to control it, it will probably just sit in the bowling bag. A waste of your bowling ball money. This is the most risky bowling ball purchase, because you haven’t tried the bowling ball, or seen anyone use it, except in the videos. That is why new bowling balls are marketed so heavy, the manufacturers knows if someone buys and uses the bowling ball, others will see it, may be try it, and want to buy it too. If no one on the league or in the house has the bowling ball, sales will suffer.

So buy the right bowling ball for your Game, and customize it to your needs. A custom bowling ball is only as good as the bowler behind it, or the one that drilled it?

Walking Toward Your Mark, bowling tip.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010 @ 01:08 AM
299

Bowling tipMany bowlers have trouble with this bowling tip.  If you think about it, keeping your body aligned with your mark is a must for a proper release. For example, watch YOUTH Coach /Instructor, Nick Hinds eyes at southtransitbowl.com and where his body is pointing. His body is lined up with his mark, and so is his arm and legs.

Remember, your arm must stay next to your body for maximum leverage. So, the bowling tip is, walk toward your mark and not toward the bowling pins. The reason is, if you walk toward the head pin and your mark is to the right side of lane, your arm will have to turn away from your body to reach out to your mark. In other words, your body is going straight and your arm is trying to swing over to the right. Physically, not good! So line up your approach to the mark you are trying to hit. Forget the pins and concentrate on your mark.

Another way to think about this bowling tip is, your arm needs to stay next to your body. Then your body must be lined up with your mark, so your arm swing can stay next to your body. If your body isn’t lined up, neither is your swing. This is one of the main reasons bowlers miss their marks, they are reaching out too far away from their bodies to hit their marks.

So, when you set up on your approach, only concentrate on your mark and your release, not walking toward the pins. You will find an easier and more powerful release, by being lined up, and a lot less reaching for your mark. Keep the Game simple, it is tough enough as it is, don’t make any tougher.

Using Too Much Hook? | bowling tip

Monday, August 23, 2010 @ 01:08 AM
299

BOWLING TIPWhat do you mean by this bowling tip, too much hook? Did you ever watch a bowler with an aggregated lift, where his hand goes up to the ceiling? Did you ever notice, he had problems controlling the ball too? Well?

This is a two part bowling tip. First, lets start with the speed of you arm swing. The arm swing speed will control how far down the lane your bowling ball will go. For example, if you speed up your arm swing up, your bowling ball will travel further down the lanes before breaking. On drier lanes, more speed will help control the bowling ball’s breaking action. As compared to slowing down your arm speed, which will help the bowling ball to grip sooner on oilier lanes.

The second bowling tip is your wrist action. If you give a strong lift, your bowling ball will have more action at the back end going into the pocket. This will help on oily lanes to get traction. Now on drier lanes less lift will help to control your bowling ball from over hooking. So you can increase your lift for oilier lanes and decrease on drier lanes, to control your bowling ball.

Final bowling tip is putting it together. The lanes are oily, so you slow down your swing and put more hand, or fingers, or lift on the bowling ball to gain traction on the lanes.  Of course the opposite is true for drier lanes, you increase your arm speed, and less lift on the bowling ball. If you think about it, by slowing down your arm speed, you will have more time to put additional lift on the bowling ball. Whereas, if you are using a faster arm swing, your time is shortened and you can’t lift the bowling ball as well.

Yes I know, it sounds so easy, but putting it into practice is the trick. Remember you can over hook the bowling ball and loose control, so think about these bowling tips. You don’t need to throw a large hook ball, just a hook ball that’s under control.
